Black Widow Story
In 2003, motorcycle loading ramps fetched a premium price that didn’t sit well with entrepreneur and biker Joel Lederhause. With a personal passion for riding, he had started a small loading ramp business and quickly recognized the need for a brand that met the quality and price standards of his customers in addition to his own.

The first product in the Black Widow family was an 8-foot, three-piece aluminum motorcycle ramp that was lightweight, strong, and affordable. It quickly became a best-seller with additional sizes following suit, perfectly positioning Black Widow to become the flagship brand of Joel’s company.
Over the few years that followed, the line expanded to include motorcycle carriers, and in 2009, Black Widow grew again to include shop equipment and jacks. As Joel saw the opportunity for innovative powersport solutions in his personal life, he brought those ideas and that motivation to work with him, using them to fuel the creation of signature products in categories that spanned from lift tables for ATVs to single dirt bike runners and more.

Today, Black Widow products continue to be developed by powersport enthusiasts, for powersport enthusiasts. We are a tight-knit team of fervent individuals who understand the need for valuable, reliable equipment, and you’ll find Black Widow ramps, carriers, wheel chocks and more in many of our garages. Today more than ever, we continue to be inspired by passion, and the love of the great outdoors.
The Evolution of the Logo
We’ve seen a few iterations of the Black Widow logo since its humble beginnings in 2003 and it’s safe to say that they’ve only gotten better!
